Below Expectations - Try at Own Risk I went through the water fitness instructor certification by SS & Company and the class was not worth the $250 that I paid for. As a matter of fact...all of their certification classes especially their swim instructor certification were not up to par and not worth the money paid for. Neither one of these certifications are nationally recognized and the class materials are cheap (e.g. A binder with photocopies). If you want to get certified to teach water aerobics I would check out AEA. It is nationally recognized and has a good reputation of putting out good instructors. For the swim instructor certification, go through Red Cross' water safety instructor course and you will be certified to teach swim lessons almost anywhere. Red Cross is also nationally recognized and their WSI is cheaper than SS & Company! I also hear a lot of complaints about the company and how unprofessional they are. Just do your research before you invest money into small incompetent businesses to enhance your career in the aquatics industry.
