Top of the Line - Highly Recommended On June 3, 2010, my husband and I were blessed to bring home a 3 year old Yorkie who had been a "throwaway" in the south Florida area, which is a very high kill area. The United Yorkie Rescue was pure class from start to finish. We saw our boy's picture on their site and within a day after putting in an application for him, we were contacted. They were very thorough as they wanted to make sure he would be going to a caring, loving, forever home. They contacted our 3 references by phone finding out how we cared for our current aged yorkie we adopted from the Flagler Humane Society 3 years ago. They called our vets and verified meds and care our current dog was on. They then did a 2 hour home visit and then we were approved! We still send pics to the foster mom and liaison in south Florida to show them how happy our new boy is! We don't consider our yorkies pets, they are part of our family and travel everywhere with us.... We would adopt from them again; they do a GREAT thing!

Top of the Line - Highly Recommended What a wonderful rescue group UYR is. Kudos to the volunteers that become Foster homes taking in unwanted or abondoned Yorkies until the pawfect home is found. I just love the breed. I have adopted two beautiful little fur babies from them. They are a wonderful addition to our family.
