As Expected - OK to Recommend I used to use this vetnarian office as I do small breed rescue and often we get in a sick or injured pup that requires medical attention, but I too found them to be a bit pricey compared to other vets in the area. Their new building is beautiful and I have no problem with any of the vetnarians at Safe Haven as they all seem to be caring and qualified. I just find the prices are a bit steep. I have since switched to Shelton Vetinary Hospital and I am quite satisfed with the quality of care as well as the cost of the care at Shelton. After all, my pups are my babies and I want to give them the best quality of life I can but I also need it to be affordable.

Top of the Line - Highly Recommended I can't thanked the staff enough at Safe Haven for being so caring, compassionate, and skillful. I recently lost one of my cats to cancer, such a tragic moment in my life! Even during this sad time Dr. Becker and her staff made the whole situation much more bearable with their kind words, sincerity and knowledge. They genuinely cared about my cat and my well-being. Dr. Becker went above and beyond what was asked of her and I truly appreciate it.

Top of the Line - Highly Recommended Choosing the right vet when I moved here was crucial! I have an older large dog whom I knew required a lot of care as she aged. On a recommendation I first went to a vet on Old Kings Rd. where I was extremely displeased. They staff was indifferent, would stand right in front of me and ignore me & most importantly,the vet did not make a "connection" with my animal. After more searching, I FOUND SAFE HAVEN!!! DR. STUART AND HIS STAFF ARE ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! Their charges are more than fair! They take such an interest in my pet - they make her feel like a star! They ALWAYS have followed up by telephone after an exam or problem. They have the latest equipment - which is really important. They have even worked with me to get the "best price" for medication - even if it means I get it at another place. I RECOMMEND SAFE HAVEN to all of my friends and to anyone who wants the very best care and attention for their pet.

Unacceptable - Watch Out, Buyer Beware! I extremely feel that Safe Haven Veterinary way over charges its customers! The fees are outrageous! After initially seeing the vet for a condition - which you pay a 40.00 office visit plus if they did anything further in the exam room that is extra, plus medicines, etc.. Ok , understandable! You are told to come back for a "Follow-Up" from the initial diagnosis from the vet. Sounds normal right? Well after the follow- up you are charged another 40.00 Office visit plus if he looked in the ear -35.00 or anything else $$$$. 4.00 Bio -Hazard fee- (I can throw out my own Q-tip- I can see if it is a stool sample or blood work-understandable ). But to pay another office visit for a "Follow -Up " from his original diagnosis is upsurd and then pay for an exam inside the room! Everytime I go here - I never leave without paying less than 100-200.00 dollars - who has that kind of money! I feel it is a rip off - and will be seeking vet care elsewhere!!!

Top of the Line - Highly Recommended I bought my puppy on a Friday afternoon from a local farm. The pup was flea ridden and had an open wound on its back paw. On a recommendation, I went to the vet on Old Kings Road, who despite my pup's poor condition, turned us away (wouldn't even let us just wait for an opening) because we didn't have an appointment. I went to Safe Haven who gave our pup a quick check over, prescribed some medications for the fleas and the wound, gave us instructions for their use, then set us up with an appointment for a full checkup the following week. Since that time, we stayed with Safe Haven, who has shown nothing but expert care for our dog AND our cat. Their staff and doctors (especially Dr. Terri Rosado) are knowledgeable, and are wonderful and caring with our pet. I highly recommend this veterinary service.

Top of the Line - Highly Recommended Went there yesterday for my dog and the staff was wonderful! It has the best doctors and vet techs in the area. My boyfriend and I were both happy with the quality of attention our pet received there.I am so happy we were recommended there by the staff and that we have found a great place for our dog (and cat!)

As Expected - OK to Recommend I believe that I have recieved decent service from Safe Haven Vet/Grooming service. Notice that I left the part of the title that says hospital because it certianly is not by any stretch of the imagination a hospital. Dog sick near to close go to Daytona. Dog sick after hours goto Daytona. Well as I said they do a good job with my dog as long as it's during normal business hours.

Below Expectations - Try at Own Risk I called to get my doggie in she's having intestinal problems and they told me they couldn't see her that they would schedule her to come in later in the week, if you have a sick dog you can't wait for the end of the week...i will take my doggie somewhere else that they will see her right away.

Top of the Line - Highly Recommended The vets (particularly Dr van Deijk) are superior. They are always very patient with me (neurotic parent) and take the time to explain everything in great detail. They are a little pricey but honestly, only you can decide what it's worth to have your pets in the best possible hands. I wish them just the very best in their new "home".

Well Done - Would Use Again The staff is great. They take their time with both our dogs and one cat. Each one there is a true animal lover and knows that our pets are our family. The facility is always clean and well taken care of. When their new place opens, it will offer much more.

Top of the Line - Highly Recommended I was there a few days ago so that my dog could have an emergency c-section. Dr. Rosado was very caring and compassionate. She let me stay with my dog in a quiet area to keep her calm and comfortable before her surgery. They were very busy and still made time for us. I would never bring my pets to another vet. Safe Haven really cares about your animals - they aren't just after your money. They even helped me with a payment plan. I highly recommend Safe Haven to anyone who loves their pets and wants whats best for them.

As Expected - OK to Recommend They have gotten out of hand with their charges. I think they are paying for their new building and new equipment. I have spent way too much money over the past month and one-half. An example: Antibiotic charge $28.00 - My pharmacist said that medication should only cost about $8.00. We are sadly pulling our three dogs from their care because we can no longer afford them. Good luck Safe Haven. I hope your happy in your new digs and with your new equipment. You may price yourself out of business. Recommend only if you have deep pockets.

Top of the Line - Highly Recommended I would recommend Safe Haven to everyone. Have been taing my dogs there for over 10 years. Everyone there treats tje animals with kindness, gentleness and love. Dr. Stewart is the best vet I have used. He even called me when one of my dogs was terminally ill, just to see how things were. Can't wait to see his new hospital.

Top of the Line - Highly Recommended I have had pets all my life and of the many different animal hospitals I have delt with throughout the years I must say Dr Stuart and his awesome staff are "Top of the line"! The facility is kept clean and smelling good. The receptionist are always courteous and friendly. The doctors are all very professional and caring. I recommend Safe Haven Animal Hospital to everyone! :-)

Top of the Line - Highly Recommended I've been to three different vet offices over the past two years and none of them have been very helpful. My dog has been sick on and off for a little over a year now and Safe Haven was the first to suggest a food allergy and to switch his food. So far it's working and my dog hasn't gotten sick since switching to perscription food. I'm confident they will do everything they can to make him better. Dr. Wegenast is the most caring and detailed when it comes to treating my puppy! She has done more to help me find out what's wrong with my dog in the past two weeks and any other vet has done in two years. I wish every vet were as caring and concerned about helping a sick pet as she is!

Top of the Line - Highly Recommended I have taken my pets to Safe Haven since they opened. I have gone through the trauma of losing two kitties in the past three years and the doctors were always compassionate and sympathetic to my grief. Dr. Stuart and Dr. VanDeijk are wonderful vets, they were very caring and both did all that was medically possible to keep my kitties comfortable and warm when it was their time to go. I would never trust my pets to anyone but them.

Top of the Line - Highly Recommended I went to Safe Haven over two years ago with a very sick cat. Both Lee Stewart and myself worked hard to save my "Squeaky" but one week later I had to put him to sleep. Lee was so considerate and aware of my loss. He was not just a "VET" he was a friend to console me. I would recommend Safe Haven to anyone that treats their animal like one of the family.

Top of the Line - Highly Recommended I have been going to safe haven for over two years now and have always had exceptional service. The staff is great. The Groomer Carol is very nice does a wonderful job and my little roxy just loves her. Would not go anywhere else!

Top of the Line - Highly Recommended Wonderful staff and veterinarians. My pets have been treated so well by everyone at Safe Haven. They even treated my hamster - and that was the only vet I could find who would help him! They also diagnosed my dog with cancer after he had been misdiagnosed elsewhere. I will always go to Safe Haven for my pets.
