RATED 1 Star Rating - Unacceptable - Watch Out, Buyer Beware! (1 stars) by JENNIFER0810 on Sep-05-2012 Report Abuse
Unacceptable - Watch Out, Buyer Beware!     I wish I could go below one star but I didnt see any with a negative. I have never had to call the Flagler Beach Police Department and never will I again. Here is my story: Today at 5:35 pm I called the Flagler Beach Police Department to report a elderly gentleman who had just run me and my son off the road on Old Kings. The gentleman was driving a silver car 4 door with a marine license plate UJQ9I and to top it off had a handicap sticker hanging from his mirror! When driving down Old Kings heading towards 100 he decided to pass me when I was already driving 55, with another vehicle coming towards us the opposite way. Before I knew it he was merging into my lane when he wasn't even past my vehicle yet, there was no where for him to go so I had to hurry up and get out of his way which resulted in me going off the road. After hooking my horn several times the man didnít even realize or even care what he had done. After passing several other cars in the same manner he had passed mine he kept heading down Old Kings towards Palm Coast Parkway, still passing cars, when other cars or even trucks where coming towards him not to mention at a speed of at least 80 miles per hour. Before getting to Palm Coast Parkway I was able to get the man's license plate number and call the police departments dispatch gave the lady all my information, what had happened to us, and his information. The lady told me that she would get the information out to a police officer. At 6:29 I called to follow up with dispatch and ask if they caught him and If I can file something towards him, when the lady rudely asked me If I had been injured, in which I replied No I wasnít injured nor was my son but we where just run off the road which then she replied they weren't able to locate the driver. How hard is it to run the license plate and find the driver??!! What good are the Flagler Police Department anyway if they cant help you when you need them?! I mean I guess I should have excepted that from them since every time I see them they are talking on their phone, texting, eating, speeding or not using a turning signal.
