RATED 5 Star Rating - Top of the Line - Highly Recommended (5 stars) by DUDLEYJONES on Sep-26-2008 Report Abuse
Top of the Line - Highly Recommended     I have been using Tomoka for service on my boats for over 20 years. One boat I bought from them in 1995 is still running great. They always have the parts I need in stock, if not they will have them the next day. Their labor rate is the lowest in town. They always seem to be busy, but they manage to get my boat serviced by the weekend. They also have great rates on trailer storage.

RATED 4 Star Rating - Well Done - Would Use Again (4 stars) by FIREPBY on Aug-27-2008 Report Abuse
Well Done - Would Use Again     I have been to Tomoka Marine two timnes over the past few months and both times I left a satisfied customer. The first visit was to have them rebuild my boat trailer wheels and hubs (after they did an outstanding job on my neighbors). My trailer had the oil bath type hubs and it was going to be labor intensive and expensive to overhaul. They recommended I just replace the hubs with new grease type and new bearings. This recommendation saved me hundreds of $$ and I left with all new parts for less than half of what it would have been. I can repack these bearings myself in the future even saving more $$. The second time was after two trips out of town (St. Augustine West Marine & Daytona Boaters World) I still could not get my fuel guage working on my boat. I was sold the wrong parts at the two larger retail stores. I didn't think about the parts Tomoka has on their shelf, sure enough I went there, was given the correct part & advice on installation. Should of went there first!

RATED 1 Star Rating - Unacceptable - Watch Out, Buyer Beware! (1 stars) by ANUNKNOWNSOURCE on Jun-15-2006 Report Abuse
Unacceptable - Watch Out, Buyer Beware!     I have got to tell you, these two guys seem to want to pick who they want to do business with. Beware, I brought my boat to these jokers and they had it for a week and promised everything, when they couldnt get it done by the deadline they told us we wanted to take it for the weekend they said it would be ready. Well they didnt fix anything on it so after we took it out we fixed a few of the things we had asked them to fix ourself. wehn we brought it back we told them what we had done (fixed a few things and replaced a couple items items) They told us " we dont want to fix it,take it someplace else" So because they could not keep to their promise and we ended up replacing a few things, the items that they had replaced were the items they were going to make money on they didnt want to do the tune up. So we did bring it someplace else and I thought I would leave a little feedback for those of you looking for a good place to bring your boat. Good luck to all of you with these guys!
